To the Blue Skies

As I write this, Silverback should be arriving in Miami for his winter in Florida.

It's only 83° Fahrenheit there today, (that's 29.4° Celsius if you insist) but the temperature display on his blog says it feels like 93°F (33.0°C).

Hot bordering on Very Hot Indeed.

In Leeds today it was 45°F (7.2°C) but the temperature display says it feels like a decidedly autumnal 41°F which is 5.0°C or "by 'eck it's freezing" in Yorkshire.

Interestingly, on the temperature display Florida is described with American optimism as "partly sunny" whereas Leeds, with the usual British gloom, is "partly cloudy".

I hope that Silverback will enjoy Florida's ever-so- slight improvement on the Yorkshire weather.

Here's a song for him. And I wish him a great winter.

Great song - beautifully constructed. Haven't heard it in years. Hope Mr Silverback doesn't get sunburnt in FL cos then he'd be Mr Redpeelingback!

Partly sunny here in FL means a bird MIGHT fly in front of the sun at some point during the day. Other than that, if you go golfing you'll need an umbrella!
